Welcome back to AERIE, the user-friendly tokenization platform designed to simplify the process of minting and managing your digital assets. In this post, we’ll walk you through the process of creating a contract on AERIE. Let’s dive in!
Step 1: Navigating to the Contract Page
Make sure you’re logged on to your AERIE account before proceeding. To get started, navigate to the menu panel on the left side of your screen and click on “Contract.” You’ll be presented with the option to either create a new contract or view your existing contracts. Click on “Create contract” to initiate the process.
Step 2: Choose Your Chain
Now, it’s time to select the details of your contract. Begin by clicking the plus sign beside “chain” to choose the blockchain you want to create your contract on. For this example, let’s select Volary, then click “Select.”
Step 3: Choose Your Client (Optional)
If you are creating a contract for a specific client, you can associate the contract with them. Click the plus sign beside “client” to choose the client you want to create the contract for, then click “Select.”
Step 4: Choose Your Type of Contract
Next, click the plus sign beside “contract” to select the type of contract you want to create. AERIE offers several options, including:
ERC20: A standard for fungible tokens.
ERC721: For non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
ERC1155: A hybrid supporting both fungible and non-fungible tokens.
Soulbound: Referring to in-game assets or tokens tied to a specific user and non-transferable.
For this example, let’s choose ERC1155, then click “Select.”
Step 5: Create Your Contract
Enter the name and symbol for your contract, then click “Create.”
Step 6: Pay for the Creation of Your Contract
A pop-up window will appear, displaying the wallets you have created or imported to AERIE. If you haven’t completed this step yet, there’s a button at the top to either generate or import a wallet. On the second line, you’ll see the approximate cost of creating your contract in Volary tokens and the equivalent in US dollars. Ensure that your selected wallet has sufficient funds. If it doesn’t, click “Buy Volary.” You’ll have the option to purchase Volary using your credit card or other tokens you have.
If you’ve already funded your wallet, simply click the wallet you wish to use, then click “Choose Wallet.”
A pop-up window will appear for you to review the contract details. If everything looks good, click “Create.”
